Wilburs was the product of friendship and a likened sense of music taste shared between creators Justin Wayne Moore and Michael K. Simcox

Recorded in Michaels signature “less-is-more” style, this record is meant to be as bare-bones and mild mannered as possible.

All in the creation of this record came the naming of the band, the fundamentals and lasting themes that span albums.

Much of the album was recorded through an ice storm. The track “Generator” was named that because a generator helped to keep us warm and recording while tracking that song.
